- Mattson Technology Reinforces DRAM Leadership With Largest Order in Company History From Leading Taiwanese Memory Manufacturer
Mattson Technology, Inc. , a leading supplier of advanced process equipment used to manufacture semiconductors, today announced that it has received the largest order in the company's history from one of Taiwan's leading memory manufacturers. The selected systems include the Aspen III ICPHT strip and Helios rapid thermal processing (RTP) tools. Shipments begin in the current quarter and extend through the end of the year. The systems will be used in the chipmaker's newest 300 millimeter (mm) fab for the production of its advanced dynamic random access memory (DRAM) devices at the 90 nanometer (nm) technology node and below. This order marks the latest in the series of Mattson wins from major Taiwanese memory manufacturers, expanding the company's large installed base in the region and further reinforcing its leadership in the DRAM market.- Method, apparatus, and computer program product in a processor for performing in-memory tracing using existing communication paths
A method, apparatus, and computer program product are disclosed for performing in-memory hardware tracing in a processor using an existing system bus. The processor includes multiple processing units that are coupled together utilizing the system bus. The processing units include a memory controller that controls a system memory. Information is...- In our society of longer lifetime the probability of suffering from dementia increases with advancing age. In the early stage, training of thinking and memory functions should only be carried out carefully, otherwise there is the danger that the patient is always reminded of his/her diminishing mental abilities.

Neuropsychological Rehabilitation Volume 16, Number 5 / October 2006 505 - 536 Errorless learning has been shown to be very successful in the rehabilitation of memory problems particularly in patients with severe forms of memory impairment. Much of this research has focused on testing knowledge of specific details studied, ignoring any additional, higher-level knowledge that patients may have acquired during the learning process.- Short-term memory is different from long-term memory. The study appeared in the January 27 issue of Neurology.
Alzheimers Association in your local district. Greeting Cards", "Greeting Cards", "/ecards/index. Include the name and address of your organization, a telephone number, the number of brochures you are requesting and how you plan to use them. For example, they wear a bathrobe while shopping or several blouses on top of each other on a hot summer day.- Use of an implicit egocentric encoding strategy in memory for picture orientation
This experiment tested the use of egocentric and contextual cues in memory for picture orientation. College students were asked to verbally encode orientation of asymmetrical scenic pictures in either an egocentric or contextual cue condition. Subjects' memory for orientation of a prominent foreground object in each slide was tested both verbally and visually. Results showed contextual encoding impaired recognition memory for orientation, but not verbal recall of left/right information, supporting an hypothesized egocentric encoding strategy in which picture orientation is implicitly encoded and recalled in terms of a "left" and "right" reference to one's own body position. The idea that spatial orientation may be a "veiled control" process in which encoding is composed of both effortful and automatic components as described by Shiffrin and Schneider (1977) was also supported.- The study was reported in the March issue of Annals of Neurology. Short-term memory is different from long-term memory.
When Dad was diagnosed with the disease, I began spending hours in medical libraries. There are a number of drugs on the market today for improving brain function. Individual and/or group psychotherapy may also be recommended to assist you in improving self-esteem, relationship skills and strategies for managing stressful events. In the early stage, training of thinking and memory functions should only be carried out carefully, otherwise there is the danger that the patient is always reminded of his/her diminishing mental abilities.
